Since the beginning of October, we are welcoming a new phD student, Albert Grass, in the LIMACS team. Albert received his bachelor’s degree in biophysics in 2024 from Columbia University. He then completed his master’s thesis in 2025 at the Center for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona, Spain, where he studied mechanical force transmission in active matter. At ISIS, with the support of the Generation Quantum EUCOR fellowship and under the supervision of Dr. SalambĂ´ Dago and Dr. Cyriaque Genet, Albert will study how internal degrees of freedom in photo-luminescent materials can be leveraged to measure and control a quantum levitated nano-particle. Welcome Albert !
